Statement
Accessibility statement for this website
This statement applies to content published on the Marnhull Parish Council website. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website.
How accessible this website is
On this website you should be able to:
- zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate the whole site using just a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator at every step
- skip straight to the main content of every page
- listen to the site using a screen reader — every image has a text description, every form field has a label, and pages use proper headings and landmarks
- read comfortably — text meets at least the 4.5:1 contrast ratio, and no information is conveyed by colour alone
- use the site without JavaScript — nothing on it requires scripts to work
Compliance status
This website is fully compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard.
Historic documents
Agendas, minutes and financial documents published before 23 September 2018 are exempt from the accessibility regulations. Where an older document is not accessible, contact the clerk and we will provide the information in a format that works for you.
Feedback and contact information
If you need information from this website in a different format — accessible PDF, large print, easy read — or you find a problem not listed on this page, contact the clerk:
- Email: clerk@marnhullparishcouncil.gov.uk
- Phone: 01258 821231
We'll consider your request and get back to you within ten working days.
Enforcement procedure
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the 'accessibility regulations'). If you're not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 8 July 2026. The website was tested against the WCAG 2.2 AA standard using keyboard-only navigation, screen-reader checks and automated contrast testing when it was built.
